Answers from your brand guidelines
Your team can't find the answer in your own brand guidelines. Now they can just ask.
Ask Your Binder answers only from your own approved documents, attaches the source to every answer, and tells you plainly when the answer is not in your documents instead of guessing. Then it tells you where your documents disagree with each other.
One page of your brand manual and one question it should answer, by LinkedIn message. Within two business days: the answer with its citation, or a plain account of what that page cannot answer, and, where the rest of your manual is public, anything in that page it contradicts.
The problem, in your words
Three editions, and nobody knows which one wins
The 2023 manual, the 2025 refresh, the regional addendum. All three are still in force for something, and the person asking has no way to tell which one governs their case.
The AI sounded confident and invented a rule
You pasted the brand book into a chat tool. It answered fluently, and the rule it gave was not in your standards. Now somebody has to check every answer, which is the job you were trying to retire.
You find out your documents disagree when someone acts on the wrong one
The old page never comes down. A franchisee, a printer or an agency follows it in good faith, and the first you hear of the contradiction is the invoice.
You are the human search engine for the brand
"Can we use this logo treatment?" "Which red for the brochure?" The questions arrive all day, the answers live in a 200-page PDF or in your head, and neither scales.
For a brand, whose entire value is consistency, an assistant that confidently says the wrong thing is worse than no assistant at all.
The costly truth: your documents disagree, and nothing tells you
When RE/MAX refreshed its brand in 2025, the new Brand Evolution supplement changed the primary red from Pantone 1795 C to Pantone 185 C. The 2023 Trademark and Graphic Standards Manual stayed in force for everything the supplement did not restate. Both documents are public, both are current, and they disagree on the brand's own colour. Anyone applying them by hand has to notice the difference on their own.
The 2025 value wins, and the 2023 manual still sits on every desk for the rules the supplement left alone. An answer that cites one edition and says nothing about the other leaves you unaware that the retired value is still printed in a document your offices still follow. Before you add an assistant to your documents, find out where they give competing answers. That is why an answer here carries two things: the source it came from, and a warning whenever another live document disagrees.
What changes for your team
Fewer repeat questions reach the brand team
Agents, franchisees, agencies and new hires ask the assistant first and get the rule with the page attached. You answer the questions that need a human.
Nobody gets blamed for applying the wrong edition
Your order of precedence decides which document wins, and a retired edition stays out of the answer. The current rule is the one people see.
Every answer can be checked in seconds
Each answer names the document and the section it came from, with a link where the source is online. Anyone can open it and confirm the rule, which is the only kind of trust that lasts.
You find the contradictions before a customer or an auditor does
Where two live documents disagree, the answer says so and names both. Run across the whole set, the same engine lists the disagreements it finds, both sides quoted, for your team to review.
Five rules it cannot break
The named mechanism behind those outcomes. Precedence, the edition filter and the disagreement check run in the engine's code, not in a prompt, and the refusal and the disagreement notice are measured on a frozen set of questions before every change.
1. Scope
It answers only from your documents. Not from the model's memory, not from the open internet.
2. Source
Every claim carries the document and the section it came from. Where the source is online, the citation links straight to it.
3. Refusal
A plain refusal is a correct answer when your documents are silent, and it gives one, with the nearest sections listed. It is tested on questions it must refuse, not only on questions it must answer.
4. Precedence
Your rules decide which document wins: tier, then authority, then date. A new draft does not outrank an approved policy just because it is newer, and a retired edition is filtered out.
5. Conflict
When two of your live documents disagree, you are told. The answer leads with the document your rules put first and shows the one that disagrees, rather than silently picking a side.
Don't trust it. Verify it. Every answer is built so that verifying takes one click.
See it work on a real brand manual
Unedited output from the Ask Your Binder command line on RE/MAX's public brand standards: the 2023 manual and the 2025 Brand Evolution supplement, loaded together, the way an office would have them. Captured 6 November 2026. Nothing below was typed in by hand.
A question the manual answers
What is the current RE/MAX primary red color?
The current RE/MAX Primary Red (2025) is Pantone 185 C, with CMYK 0/100/100/0, RGB 255/18/0, and HEX #FF1200.
Sources:
- [1] Source: RE/MAX 2025 Brand Colors (Brand Evolution supplement) > Primary palette
Heads up: your documents disagree here.
RE/MAX Trademark and Graphic Standards Manual (2023) says otherwise - see RE/MAX Trademark and Graphic Standards Manual (2023) > Examples
A question the manual cannot answer
What is the RE/MAX policy on sponsoring local sports teams?
Your binder doesn't cover this. The closest sections I found are listed below - but I won't guess.
Closest sections:
- Source: RE/MAX Trademark and Graphic Standards Manual (2023) > Business Practices Associated With the Team Structure
- Source: RE/MAX 2025 Brand Standards (Brand Evolution Supplement, US & Canada) > Teams > Signage
The first answer cites the 2025 supplement and flags that the 2023 manual disagrees. The second declines a plausible question the manual does not cover and points to the nearest sections instead of inventing a policy. Answers are composed live, so the wording in the demo varies; the facts, the citations and the refusal do not. Want to try the RE/MAX demo yourself? Message me "binder" on LinkedIn and I will send you access the same day.
Two rungs, in order
Fixed scope, priced after a short review of your binder. The review tells us how many documents, how many editions and how many hands apply them, and that is what sets the price. The contradiction check comes first.
1. The contradiction check
Your whole document set, read in one pass, and three reports back: where your documents disagree, both sides quoted with the source attached and the answer your own order of precedence gives; what has quietly gone out of date; and the questions your team gets asked that no document answers, with the nearest sections attached.
Every finding is also filed as a proposed fix, so the cleanup starts the day the report lands. The report is yours either way.
2. The assistant on your binder
Your brand standards loaded as a binder, your order of precedence configured, the five rules above in force, and a measured set of questions, including the ones it must refuse, re-run before every change. Your team asks; the assistant answers with the page attached or says the manual is silent.
Integrations beyond loading your documents, such as a connection to your own systems or automatic refresh when a document changes, are scoped in the same review and delivered as forward-deployed engineering work, never as a second product.
Same engine, other binders
A brand manual is the finished example because its rules are public and its editions are easy to compare. The engine does not care what the rulebook is about. Policy and compliance manuals, HR handbooks, contract playbooks and regulatory rulebooks have the same shape: many hands applying one set of rules, several editions in force at once, and a real cost when someone follows the wrong page.
Ask Your Binder is the proof behind Magma's Forward-Deployed AI Engineering: the discipline that makes an assistant safe to put in front of a team, shown on documents first.
What this is not
Saying the boundary out loud is part of why the rest can be believed.
Not a creative assistant
If you want a tool that brings outside knowledge into the answer, this is the wrong instrument. It is built to stay inside your documents and to refuse when they are silent.
Not for documents without rules
The precedence, conflict and edition handling earn their keep where documents are messy, versioned and full of exceptions. A single clean PDF does not need them.
Not for exploring your PDFs once
If one person wants to read a few documents once, the free tools are genuinely fine. This is for a team that relies on the answers repeatedly and in front of other people.
The one thing to do next
Send one page of your brand manual and one question it should answer.
Within two business days you get the answer with its citation, or a plain account of what that page cannot answer, and, where the rest of your manual is public, anything in that page it contradicts. A LinkedIn message is enough; no form, no account, nothing to install.
Send one page on LinkedInSend a page you could hand to a printer or an agency, nothing confidential. Public brand standards work best for a first look.
Questions we get
We can already chat with our PDFs for free. Why this?+
You can, and the question is whether the tool follows your document rules. Ask it which edition wins, what it does when the manual is silent, and how it shows you that two documents disagree. Ask Your Binder applies your order of precedence, attaches the page to every answer, says so when the manual is silent, and tests the refusal and the disagreement notice before every change. The contradiction check also hands your team a report of the competing rules before any assistant is put in front of your people or your customers.
Our guidelines live in a brand platform already. Does this replace it?+
No. It answers from the documents you give us, in the formats you already have: PDFs, Word files, web pages. Nothing has to move, and the contradiction check works on the documents as they are. A live connection to a platform or a shared drive is scoped separately, after the review.
How do we know it is accurate, and not just a good demo?+
Accuracy here is measured, not asserted. Every change to the engine is checked against a frozen set of questions on a real brand manual, and that set includes questions the assistant must refuse and questions where two documents disagree. For your binder we build the same kind of set and can re-run it in front of you. Ask any vendor you are comparing for their refusal rate and their contradiction report; the gap in the answers is the whole product.
What does it cost?+
Fixed scope, priced after a short review of your binder. There is no number on this page because the price follows the binder: how many documents, how many editions, how many people apply them. The review is short, the quote is written, and the contradiction check comes first.
Where do our documents go?+
For the first look, send public material only. Before any engagement we agree in writing where your documents are stored and processed, which services may receive them, and who can log in to your binder. Each binder is loaded as its own index, and who can log in to it is agreed in writing before any engagement, not as an afterthought.
Could our IT team build this?+
The search part, yes, in a weekend; that is the part AI now writes for anyone. Thirty years of shipping production systems shapes what gets checked before anyone relies on an answer. Does the cited section actually support it? Does it stop when the manual says nothing? Does it flag two editions that disagree instead of quietly choosing one? Will those checks still pass after the next update? If your team builds it, start with the contradiction check. It shows where your guidelines disagree before those conflicts become answers people act on.
What if I just want to talk first?+
Send the question you want to discuss as a LinkedIn message, with or without a page attached. No pitch. You get a straight answer on whether this fits, and a call if one would help.
